DHA Molecule
DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is a sugar molecule extracted from sugar cane, non-toxic, which reacts with the proteins present in the horny layer (stratum corneum) of the skin. In particular, it creates an oxidation of the keratin on the superficial part of the skin, which releases its natural tanned color. It should be specified that the pigmentation obtained is not a real tan, as melanin is not involved in the process: in fact, it cannot be eliminated except following the natural replacement of the superficial skin layers and cleansing.
