Stretch marks

Stretch marks – a blemish similar to scars – are caused by a loss of elasticity on the part of the skin tissue. In particular, the latter, subjected to excessive tension, suffers an injury caused by the fiber damage of the dermis and epidermis.
The color of stretch marks (or striae) can vary from purplish red to white, depending on the age of the stretch mark itself.

Specifically, older stretch marks tend to lighten, while new-onset striae appear purple or even red. Treating a stretch mark and making it less visible is complex and requires expertise and targeted products, without neglecting the importance of prevention, which plays a key role.
